Dear FED

  • February 26, 2010 11:10 am

Dear Dad Fed,

Thank you so much for the 100+ Billion dollars that you gave lent me last year.  Some of my friends (Goldman And SocGen mainly) were very happy and even started to play with me again.  The only problem is that I seem to have lost it all.   Can I have some more please?

Your ever loving Son,

AIG.

AIG – never fails to amaze

AIG like to make big moves.  In our last update on AIG we noted that it had broken out of its triangle, to the downside.  We then gave its new target:

Target price is now 11 to 12.50 (although there may be a retest of the triangle first).

In the chart below you will see that today it retested that trend line on the triangle.  Now would be a good time to short AIG, with a stop just above todays high.

In our last post on AIG we were expecting a breakout from its triangle.  The breakout has occurred so we can select our Target price.  Chart below:

AIG Apex

A Significant Triangle on AIG is approaching its apex.  If it breaks to the upside then it could be $50 or on the downside $12.  Worth watching.
